Favorites from Atlanta Pride 2010
I marched in this year’s Pride Parade with the Unitarian Universalist Congregations of North Georgia.
Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day. Lots of great street photography photo ops @ the parade … as always. And here’s a link to a full slideshow from the day.
Jade Butterfly Graces New Logo
I’ve finally chosen my new logo. The butterfly symbolizes lightness, joy and transformation. The Greek word for butterfly is Psyche, which also means soul. In Chinese folklore the presence of a jade butterfly indicated the wedding of two souls.
Here’s what the logo will look like on my new business cards.
The Ordination of the Rev. Kimberly Jackson
I had the privilege of photographing one of my closest friend’s ordination last weekend. The ordination took place at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church here in Atlanta. The service brought tears to my eyes.
Congratulations, Kim!
Here are a few favorites from the day starting with my absolute favorite — Kim immediately after being officially ordained.
Carter's 4th Birthday Party
Our grandson Carter is 4 now. His birthday party at Diddy Bops in Hattiesburg, MS was the tops. He had lots of friends jumping and running and playing and eating.
Here are a few photos from the party.

Finalizing the Cindy Brown Brand
I’m working on my brand.
I’ve decided I want the brand to reflect me, since anyone who will be hiring me to photograph their wedding, child or family will be spending lots of time with me.
Here’s what I’m thinking of using for my logo and here’s how it would look on my homepage:

So I’m asking friends and family to let me know, does this new look reflect me. What works about the new look and what doesn’t. What would you change, if anything?
Thanks.
OK … after some feedback from a photo listserve, here are some variations on a theme.
Let me know if you like any of these more than the other. They will all eventually have the tagline “the fine art of storytelling” underneath.

Indigo Girls to play at Emory Homecoming 2010!
I was delighted to learn today that the Grammy Award-winning Indigo Girls, both Emory alums, will be playing on September 25 as part of the Emory Homecoming Festivities.
And the concert is free.
I hope I get to see one of my favorite profs from my Candler years, Don Saliers — Emily’s Dad.
